Our national epidemic of overweight and obese individuals
The obesity epidemic is not going away anytime soon. According to the CDC, 49 of 50 US states have a prevalence of obesity over 20% and 32 of those states were over 25%. According to The National Institute of Health, 133.6 million or 66 percent of US adults are overweight. Society needs fitness professionals to guide them, create evidence-based programs to keep them safe, coach them, motivate them and hold them accountable to their goals. With HFPN, fitness professionals can connect with and help more clients than ever before.

Fitness professionals are "prevention specialists"
We live in a society of “sick care,” not health care. In 2008 there was an estimated $2.4 trillion spent on health care. That is over 4 times what was spent on national defense. Much of this spending is preventable. It can be influenced by better lifestyle choices such as not smoking, healthier diets, and daily exercise. Fitness professionals need to play a leadership role in the prevention game by influencing more lives with education, programs, and coaching.

Fitness professionals need more viable work options and employment opportunities to keep them satisfied
In the US market, nearly 15% of adults are health club members. This means 85% of adults who need fitness are rarely engaged by fitness professionals. With HFPN, clients can be anyone, anywhere. HFPN allows fitness professionals to expand their services. HFPN makes working with a fitness professional affordable for clients on nearly any budget. By creating different offerings and service opportunities professionals can work with more clients in less time and generate revenue beyond their physical training hours.

Consumers face information overload without a coach to guide, motivate, and hold them accountable
There is so much information about fitness, weight loss, and sports performance on-line that it is often impossible for consumers to wade through the clutter. Fitness-related information is the second most searched topic on the Web, yet statistically, people are not getting any healthier! Because the fitness and supplementation industries remain largely unregulated, consumers can’t figure out what information is true and what is fiction. People need coaches to help set a proper path, de-mystify the gimmicks in the market and create clear, actionable plans that can help them reach their goals.
